NEXT 2.0.0 A photo editing workflow for Adobe Photoshop https://fastglass.software/next/ WHAT DOES NEXT DO? NEXT helps you edit a folder of photos, one photo at a time. You make the edits in Photoshop. When a photo is ready, press NEXT. The plugin then: 1. Flattens the photo's layers. 2. Saves it over the original file. 3. Closes it and opens the next photo in the folder. JPEGs save at Photoshop quality 12. Supported formats are JPG/JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PSD and PSB. NEXT works inside desktop Photoshop 26 or later on macOS or Windows. Photoshop is purchased separately. BEFORE YOU START NEXT replaces your original files with flattened edits. Leave "Keep original backups" enabled (it is on by default) to keep a copy of each original in a separate folder. Try a folder of photo copies for your first session. INSTALL AND OPEN 1. Extract NEXT.zip if you have not already done so. 2. Double-click NEXT-2.0.0.ccx. Follow the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop installation prompts. Restart Photoshop after updating. 3. In Photoshop, choose Plugins > NEXT > NEXT. 4. Connect to the internet on first launch to start the 48-hour trial. EDIT YOUR FIRST FOLDER 1. Click "Choose a folder" and select your photo folder. NEXT opens the first supported image automatically. 2. Edit the photo in Photoshop as you normally would. 3. Press NEXT when it is ready to flatten and save. Repeat for each photo. The last photo uses FINISH. HELPFUL CONTROLS Go back: closes the current queued photo WITHOUT saving its unfinished changes, then opens the previous photo. Skip: closes the frontmost Photoshop document WITHOUT saving, even if it is a different document, then advances the queue. Finish later: saves your place. Choose the same folder when you return to resume. It does not save unfinished image edits; save those edits in Photoshop before quitting. NEXT-session.txt records progress, not edits. Quick actions: use the panel's hamburger menu > Customize Quick Actions to assign up to eight of your own loaded Photoshop actions. TRIAL AND LICENSE Try the complete plugin for 48 hours from first launch. Internet is needed to start the trial; it then works offline until that deadline. No card is needed and no payment is taken automatically. Keep using NEXT for $19 USD, paid once, for two active computers. Purchase at https://fastglass.software/next/#buy. Open the panel's hamburger menu > Enter license..., paste the emailed NX1 code and choose Activate license. Paid licenses need internet to activate and periodically refresh, with up to seven days of offline use after a successful check. MORE HELP INSTALL.md has detailed installation and activation help. USER-GUIDE.md explains saving, backups, navigation and Quick actions. Both are plain-text guides you can open in a text editor.
